D.F. Pray completed the design/build of a 160,000 sq. ft. manufacturing warehouse and office facility for Igus Inc., an international manufacturer of various polymer components for industry. The new facility, located on a 11 acre site, will serve as the company’s US headquarters.
The 700’ long building includes 135,000 sq. ft. of production space and 25,000 sq. ft. of office space, including a cafeteria with walkout patio and restrooms, all spanning two levels. Glass walls installed on both levels of the office space allow views around the office and into production.
The production floor was designed with a wall louver system that pulls in cool outside air and exhausts warmer air through roof exhaust fans on summer days. The facility includes 12 loading docks for shipping and receiving, including 2 drive-through doors for oversized shipments.
