Our Beginning
Bonded by their experiences in the U.S. Navy during World War II, C. Edward Pray, George Foltz, and Charles Dermody, were motivated by the belief that everyone should have the freedom and opportunity to succeed and achieve a better life. With this American dream in mind, they established D.F. Pray in Seekonk, Massachusetts in 1959 to create employment opportunities within their community

Continuing a Family Tradition
In 1982 Scott W. Pray, the son of C. Edward Pray, joined the company and in 1987 Scott assumed the role of President. 66 years later, the company continues to operate as a family-owned business, with Zachary Pray and Kathryn Pray, members of the third generation, actively involved in shaping the strategic direction of D.F. Pray.
With 86 industry professionals and four locations within New England, we still uphold our guiding core principle: delivering services efficiently, while ensuring personalized care.
Big Enough to Get the Job Done, Small Enough to Care®
Impacting & Supporting Our Communities
Originating in 1997 as a charity golf tournament in memory of Ron Carr, an esteemed member of the D.F. Pray family and a valued friend, The Pray Family Foundation has evolved significantly. Our mission is dedicated to funding research aimed at eradicating Leukemia and Lymphoma, Neuroblastoma, and Pancreatic Cancer, as well as supporting research initiatives with Southcoast Health and various philanthropic activities within our operational communities.
Our unwavering commitment is reflected in our ongoing efforts to raise funds to support cancer research.
