1959

D.F. Pray is Founded

C. Edward Pray, George Foltz, and Charles Dermody founded D(Dermody) F(Foltz) Pray.

1960

Began Work as Subcontractor

With five employees, began working as a subcontractor in construction trades from acoustical ceilings to drywall to Van Packer chimneys.

1982

Scott W. Pray Joins

Second Generation Family member Scott W. Pray, Edward’s son, joins D.F. Pray.

1987

D.F Pray Acquired by Scott

Scott W. Pray acquires D.F. Pray from his father and becomes President.

1994

Modern Office Building Created

D.F. Pray remodels “Warehouse #1” to create a modern office building.

1997

Ron Carr Golf Tournament is Created

The Ron Carr Golf Tournament is created to raise funds for Leukemia (leads to creation of The Pray Family Foundation).

2016

Kathryn and Zachary Pray Join D.F. Pray

Third generation, Kathryn Pray and Zachary Pray join D.F. Pray.

2019

60 Years

D.F. Pray Celebrates its 60th Anniversary.

2023

D.F. Pray Scholars Program Launched

The D.F. Pray Scholars Program at Roger Williams University is launched providing scholarships, internships and professional development for women and diverse students in construction management.
